Vegetarian Sims will experience a nauseous moodlet for two hours after eating fish. Fish is considered meat, so it’s off-limits for them.
While vegetarian Sims actively avoid meat-containing dishes, they may accidentally consume fish, leading to sickness, guilt, and sadness.
To ensure your Sim sticks to a vegetarian diet, improve their cooking skills to prepare their vegetarian dishes at home.
There’s a significant advantage to having a vegetarian Sim: they live longer and enjoy better health. They can also advocate for vegetarianism and discuss its benefits with other Sims.
Vegetarian Sims are easier to satisfy and often feel very happy after eating a vegetarian meal. You’ll notice when your vegetarian Sim is hungry by broccoli-themed speech bubbles appearing on the screen.
Additionally, they have the option to hire a vegetarian caterer to ensure their food aligns with their dietary choices.
Vegetarian Sims Can Accidentally Eat Meat
Sometimes a vegetarian Sim will grab a meat plate, even though that clearly shouldn’t be an option!
It would be great if the Vegetarian trait made Sims more defiant. For example, if you try to make them eat meat or cook a non-vegetarian meal, they could get a tense moodlet and outright refuse.
It’s frustrating because The Sims 3 handled this much better. Vegetarian Sims literally couldn’t cook anything non-vegetarian. They could only eat meat if it was prepared by someone else.
Don’t be surprised if a vegetarian Sim autonomously starts grilling steak in the backyard in The Sims 4. Apparently, that makes perfect sense.
You Can Also Have Vegetarian Vampires
In The Sims 4, vampires can also be vegetarians. Vampires with this trait can feed on plasma fruits and plasma packs, which aren’t derived from animals.
Click on the computer, select Buy Food, and click on Plasma Packs.
Plasma packs can be crafted from plasma fruit, which vampires can grow in a garden.
Happy Simming!
