If you really don’t want a particular Sim to appear in your family tree in The Sims 4, you can remove them.
Twallan’s Master Controller is a powerful Sims 4 mod that can help you achieve this. It offers a variety of functionalities, but here’s what you need to know for this specific task:
⇒ Before you begin!
Always back up your game files before installing mods. Mods can sometimes interfere with your game and cause unexpected glitches.
Step 1: Install Twallan’s Master Controller
- Download Twallan’s Master Controller.
- Extract the downloaded files.
- Place the extracted files in your Mods folder, typically found at Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
Step 2: Remove Sims from the Family Tree
Method 1: Using NRaas > Advanced > Total Annihilation
- Click on the Sim you want to remove from the family tree.
- Select “NRaas” from the Sim’s menu.
- Go to “Advanced” and then “Total Annihilation.”
Method 2: Using Master Controller > Advanced > Family
- Launch the Master Controller from the in-game menu (usually found by clicking on your mailbox).
- Navigate to “Advanced” and then “Family.”
- Choose the option that best suits your needs: “Remove Parent,” “Remove Child,” or “Remove Sibling.”
- Select the Sim you want to remove.
Using “Total Annihilation” will completely remove the Sim from the game, not just the family tree. Choose this option with caution.
Fresh Start in a New World (No Mods Needed)
Prefer to avoid mods? Here’s an alternative method:
- Save the Sim to your Library: This essentially creates a copy of the Sim you can use in other households.
- Place the Sim in a different world: Add the Sim to a new household residing in a different world.
This method effectively removes the Sim from the original family tree.
While their career progress will carry over, their relationships won’t. This means they won’t be recognized as family members in the new world.
This approach doesn’t actually delete the Sim from the game, just their connection to the original family tree.
Happy Simming!
