The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle features a fascinating Action Plan called Free Love. It significantly impacts your Sims’ behavior, particularly their romantic interactions.
What’s Free Love in The Sims 4?
Free Love is an Action Plan in Eco-Lifestyle that eliminates all negative emotions like jealousy from romantic interactions.
Here’s the official description:
Who needs negativity when you could be drenched in love? Who needs jealousy when you could be embraced with understanding? Vote with your heart and transform our community into a butterfly of love for all. Whether single, married, or open, we embrace loving each other in all its beautiful forms. When Free Love reigns, you gain Influence through romantic interactions.
The community votes on whether to pass the Free Love Plan. The good news is you can influence the outcome by befriending neighbors and steering their votes in the direction you want.
Free Love in Action
With jealousy gone, your Sims can explore a wider range of romantic interactions. Actions that normally trigger jealousy are now accepted.
Imagine your Sim’s partner flirting with another Sim. Usually, this sparks conflict and public displays of jealousy.
But with Free Love, the cheated-on partner might simply ignore the whole thing or look on approvingly.
Once Free Love is active, the entire neighborhood becomes more open and friendly when it comes to romance. That’s why Sims that have just met will just walk up to each other and kiss. Townies will perform romantic actions with anyone.
Woohoo happens much more often with Free Love active. But be careful, older Sims can die from too much of it.
With the Free Love Neighborhood Action Plan active, Sims earn Influence Points from woohoo. Afterward, they can use the Discuss Conquests interaction, which gives them the Bragged About Conquests moodlet.
If you want polyamory in your game, Free Love is an easy way to do it without cheats or giving your Sim the Player trait.
It’s also helpful for challenges like the 100 Baby Challenge or completing the Serial Romantic aspiration without hurting a Sim’s reputation or causing fights.
Happy Simming!
