How to Remove Unwanted Babies From Your Sims 4 Household

Sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned in The Sims 4, and a baby can show up when it’s really not part of the story. Luckily, there are a few ways to remove unwanted babies so your game can go back on track.

Move Them to Another Household

If you don’t want certain babies or kids living in your household anymore, you can just move them in with another family.

Before you do that, you need to age them up. You cannot transfer new-born babies to another household.

Keep in mind you can’t transfer the baby to a random household. You need to move them to a household you already own.

Go into Manage Households, open Edit Household, pick a different family, and transfer the child over.

Just make sure there’s at least a Teen in that household. Having an adult there is even better, since kids can’t live on their own.

Even after the move, nothing weird happens to their family ties. The child will still appear on the original family tree and stay biologically related to their parents. They’re just being raised by someone else now.

Let the Social Services Take the Baby Away

Another option is to simply ignore them and let the game handle it. Stop taking care of them, and they will eventually be taken away for neglect. When this happens, the child disappears in a puff of smoke.

You will also get a notification from the Social Services that says: “Due to neglect, [your kid] has been whisked away to safety. Maybe you should try a goldfish before parenting again.”

Delete Them

If you want a child completely gone from your save, you can delete them directly. This removes them from the game entirely, as if they never existed.

Start by saving your game, just in case. If the Sim is still a baby, age them up first, since babies cannot be edited this way.

Next, go to Manage Worlds and find the household they live in. Select Manage Household.

Hold Ctrl+Shift+C to bring up the cheat menu. Type in testingcheats true and cas.fulleditmode. Hold Shift-Click on the toddler, then Modify in CAS.

Once you are in CAS, hover over the Sim you want to remove and click the X button. That Sim will be deleted from the game permanently.

Happy Simming!
