The Sims 4: How Gentrification Turns Neighborhoods Green

In Sims 4 Eco-Lifestyle, your choices affect the environment directly. You can change how neighborhoods look and feel through a process called gentrification.

In The Sims 4, players can positively impact their neighborhoods through the actions of their Sims. That’s called gentrification.

This is similar to how gentrification happens in the real world. Gentrification is when an area that was polluted gets improved and becomes green and eco-friendly.

In this expansion, if you pick the Civil Planner branch, you’ll be in charge of making your neighborhood more eco-friendly for everyone to enjoy.

Eco-Friendly Gentrification in The Sims 4

The first step is to upgrade your Sims’ home by installing wind turbines, solar panels, and dew collectors. This will significantly lower your bills and eco-footprint.

You can also build a living rooftop to reduce your Sims’ footprint and color it in bright colors to add a positive and friendly touch to it.

You can use Neighborhood Action Plans to guide your green gentrification efforts and make neighborhoods more sustainable. For instance, you could transform abandoned spaces into community gardens.

The voting takes place every week, and you can even influence your neighbors’ votes.

If your idea gets voted for, you’re the one responsible for implementing it. But if things go sideways, you might end up wearing a paper bag on your head.

Happy Simming!
