If you want to make human Sims comfortable around your werewolf, you need to successfully Ask for Werewolf Sympathy.
Asking for werewolf sympathy takes a bit of patience, and the game expects you to put in some social effort first. You can’t jump straight to the interaction and expect it to work. Sims need to feel comfortable around your werewolf before they are willing to offer sympathy.
Start by having normal positive conversations. Use friendly and funny interactions and keep going until you have done enough of them.
You also need to talk about being a werewolf during these conversations. All of this helps build the relationship to the point where the option to ask for sympathy has a real chance of succeeding.
Pay attention to moodlets while you do this. The interaction works best when everyone involved feels good. A positive social moodlet makes Sims more open and increases the odds they will say yes when you ask.
If the Sim refuses, don’t treat it as a dead end. This can happen even with very close relationships, including spouses or parents. Keep interacting in a friendly way, improve the relationship further, and try again later.
Once you succeed, you unlock progress toward the Werewolf Diplomacy ability. From there, you can start using diplomacy to make other Sims more accepting of your werewolf, even while in wolf form.
Getting werewolf sympathy also helps repair relationships between werewolves and vampires.
This step is especially important if your Sim wants to be part of the Moonwood Collective. That pack values diplomacy highly, and asking for werewolf sympathy is required if you want to advance and be seen as a valuable member.
Happy Simming!
