What Happens When a Werewolf Pack Leader Dies in The Sims 4?

Werewolves are mortal in The Sims 4. If you want your werewolf to live forever, you need to reach the Apex rank and unlock the Immortal Wolf ability.

Once your werewolf has this ability, they become immune to old age and can live indefinitely. However, reaching Apex rank alone doesn’t make a werewolf immortal. They need to unlock Immortal Wolf first.

This is particularly important if your werewolf is the leader of a pack. If the pack leader dies before naming a successor, some pack-related gameplay options can become unavailable.

The game won’t automatically replace a dead pack leader.

If the leader of a werewolf pack dies, the game won’t automatically choose another pack member to take their place.

Instead, the pack can be left without a leader until another Sim claims leadership.

You can claim leadership of the pack yourself.

If your werewolf is already a member of the pack, you can take over after the previous leader dies.

Click on the pack hangout and select Claim Pack Leadership.

Your Sim will then become the new pack leader and regain access to the pack-related gameplay options.

You can resurrect a dead pack leader with Ambrosia.

If you’d rather bring the original leader back instead of taking their place, you can try resurrecting them with Ambrosia.

You’ll first need to get the dead Sim’s ghost to visit the pack hangout and then have them eat the Ambrosia.

Your Sim needs Level 10 Gourmet Cooking to unlock the Ambrosia recipe.

Make sure your pack has a successor if you don’t want to lose its leadership.

The easiest way to avoid problems is to make sure another werewolf is ready to take over before your pack leader dies.

And if you really want your Alpha to stick around forever, unlock Immortal Wolf before old age catches up with them.

You can restore a deleted pack leader using another Sim.

If you accidentally deleted the pack leader, you can download a replacement from the Gallery and use cheats to assign them to the appropriate pack.

For example, you can download Rory or Kristopher Volkov from the Gallery.

Play as the downloaded werewolf and use the appropriate pack traits to make them the leader.

For the Moonwood Collective, use the traits that assign the Sim to Pack A and make them the Pack A leader.

If you’re restoring the Wildfangs, use the corresponding Pack B traits instead.

After assigning the leader traits, go to Worlds and mark the household as unplayed. Then play as the Sim again and add the appropriate pack member trait.

Once the replacement Sim is part of the pack, switch back to your own werewolf and interact with the pack leader. You can then challenge them or use the appropriate interaction to take their place as pack leader.

After your Sim becomes the new leader, you can safely remove the replacement Sim if you no longer need them.
