Teleportation is a handy way to move your Sims around quickly, especially when they’re somewhere inconvenient, or you don’t want to spend time walking across a large lot.
The quickest method is to use the Teleport Here cheat.
Open the Cheat Console with Ctrl + Shift + C and enter:
testingcheats true
Then hold Shift and click on the ground where you want your Sim to go. Select Teleport Here.
Your Sim will instantly appear at that location.
Vampires can teleport using their powers.
If you have Vampires, your vampire Sim can unlock powers that allow them to move around in special forms.
Bat Form lets your vampire turn into a bat and fly around. It’s particularly useful when you need to get somewhere quickly or escape from a room without a door.
Mist Form lets your vampire turn into a cloud of mist and move around. It’s also faster than using Bat Form.
Both powers use Vampire Energy, so your Sim won’t be able to use them if they don’t have enough energy.
Spellcasters can teleport using the Transportalate spell.
Your Sim needs to learn the spell by studying and practicing magic. If you want to unlock it immediately with cheats, open the Cheat Console and enter:
testingcheats true
Then enter:
spells.unlock_spell spells_Practical_3_Teleport
Once the spell is unlocked, your spellcaster can use Transportalate to teleport around.
With Spa Day, Sims who reach level 7 Wellness can eventually teleport through meditation.
Your Sim enters a meditation pose and then teleports to another location.
Meditation teleportation can also be used to reach hidden worlds, but your Sim needs to have visited the hidden location before. They also need to be in the same neighborhood as the secret lot.
For a normal Sim, though, the cheat is by far the easiest option. If you’re trying to move around without cheats, vampires, spellcasters, and high-level meditators all have their own ways of getting around much faster.
