Do This If Sims Don’t Go To Acting Gigs in The Sims 4

If you play The Sims 4, you may have run into an annoying problem where the acting gig pop-up just doesn’t show up, so your Sim can’t go to work.

Basically, your Sim can pass the audition just fine, but when it’s time for the actual gig, the game won’t let you travel with them to do the job.

The good news is that there’s an easy way to fix it.

What Causes Sims to Miss Acting Gigs?

The problem typically arises when you travel or reload the game while an active gig is ongoing post-audition. Additionally, accessing the Household Manager or Create-a-Sim (CAS) immediately after finishing an audition can trigger this glitch.

How to Prevent the Issue

To ensure your Sims can attend their acting gigs without any hiccups, follow these steps:

  1. Avoid Traveling or Reloading During Active Gigs: Try not to travel or reload the game while a gig is in progress after an audition.
  2. Delay Accessing Household Manager or CAS: After completing an audition, refrain from accessing the Household Manager or CAS immediately.

Change the Agency

If the gig just doesn’t show up anymore after the audition, try changing the agency. You select your Sim, open their phone, go to Career/Business, then choose Change Agencies.

After that, the gig should show up again, and you get the option to travel there.

Cancel the Gig

If changing the agency doesn’t work, cancel the gig. Your Sim may not be able to complete it anyway.

Instead, focus on getting a new gig. Stay on the home lot until the new audition starts to avoid glitches.

Once you get the new gig, don’t repeat the same mistakes. Don’t travel, use CAS, check the map, change the Household Manager, or reload the game until the gig pop-up appears.

Basically, do nothing from the moment you get accepted for the gig until the option to go to work appears on the screen.

After clicking on the gig pop-up, you can travel and save the game. But don’t reload or close the game, as it will trigger the same problem again.

Happy Simming!
