The Sims 4 has many reward traits that Sims can unlock through the Rewards Store, Aspirations, and other gameplay systems.
These traits can give your Sims useful bonuses, unlock special interactions, or change the way certain needs and gameplay systems work.
If you don’t want to spend Satisfaction Points completing Aspirations, or simply want to give your Sim a particular reward trait immediately, you can use a cheat.
Before entering a trait cheat, make sure you have selected the Sim you want to modify.
Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Mac to open the cheat console.
Enter testingcheats true and press Enter.
Enter the appropriate traits.equip_trait command from the lists below.
Press Enter. The trait should be added to your selected Sim.
The general format is: traits.equip_trait trait_Codename
The important part is that the trait codename isn’t always the same as the name displayed in-game.
For example, the Poetic trait uses trait_EpicPoet, while Handy uses trait_TheKnack.
You can also remove a trait with: traits.remove_trait trait_Codename
These traits are normally purchased with Satisfaction Points from the Rewards Store.

Aspiration reward traits are normally unlocked by completing specific Aspirations. You can skip the Aspirations and add these traits directly with cheats.

Don’t confuse Aspiration Bonus Traits with Aspiration Reward Traits.
Some Aspirations also give your Sim a bonus trait as soon as you select the Aspiration. These aren’t the same as the reward traits you get for completing an Aspiration.
For example, selecting certain Aspirations can give your Sim bonus traits such as Quick Learner, Collector, Alluring, Gregarious, or Business Savvy.
You can cheat these traits too, but they belong to a different category.
If you added the wrong trait or simply don’t want it anymore, use the same command with remove_trait instead of equip_trait.
For example, to remove Always Welcome: traits.remove_trait trait_AlwaysWelcome
You can use this method with the other trait codes as well.
If a command still produces an “Unable to execute the command” message, save your game, return to the main menu, load the household again, enable testingcheats true, and try the command once more.
Also make sure the correct Sim is selected before entering the command. The trait is added to the currently selected Sim.
