Prepare Ahead of Time
Don’t wait until your Sim is scared stiff, a little prep goes a long way.
Bake brownies and garden salad, so you have plenty of single servings to offer ghosts. Red specters usually like brownies, green ones prefer salad, but it’s not guaranteed.
All your bizarre idols are great tools against Temperance. Bring them with you.
Chatting with a “Hello Dahlia” doll can help your Sim calm their fear.
Spend Aspiration Points on Sacred Candles. Place two near where you want to approach a spirit and move them along as you go to the next task.
On the Lot
Drop a chalk circle when you arrive and perform a ceremony to clear ghosts. Put protective candles down immediately.
Guidry is a friendly ghost who can help you navigate the spirit world. Use positive interactions to befriend him.
When Temperance shows up, try befriending her first. If that fails, use all your bizarre idols to scare her off.
Watch out for red ghosts, they can set your Sim on fire. If you have the Outdoor Retreat pack, bring a portable shower just in case.
Even terrified Sims can perform ceremonies, and doing so gives them more experience.
