To catch Mountain Lionfish in The Sims 4, head to Granite Falls and fish at the waterfall in the Deep Woods. This is the only location where you can catch this rare fish.

To reach the Deep Woods, travel to Granite Falls Forest National Park and look for the cave entrance hidden among the shrubs. Click the entrance, select Explore, and make your way through the tunnel maze until you reach the Hermit’s House.

Once you’re there, head to the nearby waterfall. Click the fishing sign and start fishing. Then it’s mostly a matter of patience until a Mountain Lionfish finally takes the bait.

Your chances of catching a Mountain Lionfish improve once your Sim reaches at least Level 6 of the Fishing skill.

You don’t need special bait to catch Mountain Lionfish, although you may need several attempts before you reel one in.

If you want to improve your chances, you can use other fish as bait.

Once you’ve caught this rare fish, you can add it to your collection or mount it on a wall as a decoration.

Speaking of fishing in The Sims 4, did you know that sparkling fishing signs indicate that your Sim can catch rare fish at that spot?

Fishing in an area where you see a sparking fishing sign increases your chances of catching rare fish.

You can also cook and eat the fish you catch.
