Tips to Keep Your Sims Inspired in Sims 4

Keeping your Sims Inspired in The Sims 4 makes everything from painting to cooking more fun and effective. There are a few simple ways to boost this mood so your Sims stay motivated throughout the day.

Unlock the Inspired Mood in The Sims 4

If your Sim is chasing a creative career, feeling Inspired can really make a difference. When they’re Inspired, they get better results and work faster. An author Sim, for example, will write books more quickly and with better quality.

So how do you spark that Inspired mood? There are lots of ways to do it. The first step is to lift any negative emotions. Make your Sim happy by letting them enjoy fun activities. Being happy naturally opens the door to feeling Inspired.

One of the simplest ways to get those creative juices flowing is a Thoughtful Shower. After a long shower, your Sim’s mind will be buzzing with ideas.

Another quick trick is browsing art online. Just click on your Sim’s computer, go to the Web, and choose Browse Art. They’ll instantly feel Inspired and ready to try something new.

If your Sim has a Future Cube, that’s another great tool. Asking the Cube for ideas will immediately spark creative energy. Keeping one handy means your Sim can get Inspired anytime.

Playing with Molding Clay can also kickstart creativity. Even adult Sims can use the clay from kids’ toys. After a few moments of sculpting, their minds are full of fresh ideas.

Musical Sims can find inspiration in their instruments. Whether it’s guitar, piano, or violin, playing gives them the Inspired moodlet for hours and helps improve their skill at the same time.

This is not the fastest method to get your Sim Inspired, but it’s perfect if you want a longer-lasting boost.

For Sims who love the outdoors, cloud gazing or star gazing works wonders. With the Outdoor Retreat pack, spending time under the sky usually gives six hours of inspiration.

Storytelling by the campfire can do the trick too. If you don’t have the pack, even a small telescope can get your Sim focused and ready to create.

Yoga sessions are another way to spark inspiration. If you have the Spa Day pack, a brain-boosting yoga class will lift your Sim’s mood. Ylang Ylang Massages are also helpful for creative energy.

If your lot has a CowPlant, it can provide Essence of Inspiration. When a Sim in the Inspired mood gets eaten, the essence captures that energy. Drinking it gives your Sim the Inspired moodlet instantly.

There are plenty of smaller, fun ways to get Inspired too.

Your Sim can enjoy cheese fondue, a cappuccino, or even haunted mint ice cream. Wearing a Chicken Hat in the Deluxe Edition can do the trick, too.

Painters can research art references, music lovers can really listen to music, Bookworms can analyze books, and Foodies can cook, look for new recipes, or watch cooking shows for ideas.

Objects that Emit an Inspired Aura

Your Sim can pick up Inspired energy from certain objects around the house or things they wear. These are called aura objects.

Flower arrangements with snowdrop or lily scents give that Inspired boost.

Jewelry or gemstones crafted from Alexandrite, Amethyst, or Orange Topaz also work. Jewelry only works while your Sim is wearing it, and gemstones give an Inspired boost to any Sim nearby.

Some household items can lift inspiration, too. These include: Masterpiece Pumpkins, Reward Lamps, Postcards,  Spa Day’s Evocative Lemon Incense, etc.

Happy Simming!
