If you have The Sims 4 Seasons, gnomes can show up on your lot during Harvestfest, and they don’t take “no” for an answer. They’re grumpy, mischievous, and can really make your lot chaotic if left unchecked.
If You Have the Enchanted by Nature Pack, Sims can get the Gnome Lure ailment, which causes gnomes to appear every day on the lot. Take your Sim to an Apothecary to buy the cure or have a Fairy cure them.
If you like seeing them on your lot, you have a couple of ways to handle them.
Appease Them With the Right Gifts
Each gnome has a favorite gift. Give it to them, and they’ll calm down. Click on each gnome to see its name and what it likes.
Successfully pleasing all the gnomes earns your Sim Seasonal Seeds as a reward. These seeds can be planted right away or sold for extra Simoleons.
Here’s a quick cheat sheet for gifts:
- Coffee: Happy Gnomiversary, Happy Gnome Garden Pal, Gnome Matter What, I’m Still Your Baby, Strictly Business Gnome
- Pie: Bearly Gnome, Don’t Fear the Reagnomper, Poolside Gnome
- Salad: Upside Down Gnome Decor, Mr. Floppy the Gnome
- Fruit Cake: There’s No Place Like, Ghastly Ghostly Gnome
- Future Cube: Guardian of the Gnomelaxy
- Toys: Bare Essentials Gnome
Giving the wrong gift can make them even angrier and more destructive, so pay attention to what they want.
If they’re still mad after getting gifts, you can try to Plead for orgiveness.
Selling or Kicking Gnomes Off Your Lot
Sometimes, a gnome just won’t calm down. If they refuse to be appeased, your Sim has a few options:
- Try to apologize: This can help a few stubborn gnomes calm down.
- Kick them off the lot: A quick solution, but not very nice.
- Enter Build Mode and sell them: This prevents further damage and gives you some Simoleons in return.
Tips for Handling Gnomes
- Don’t ignore them. They’ll break stuff on your lot and wreak havoc if left unattended.
- Rewarding them properly is the kinder route and gives you useful seeds.
- Keep a stash of favorite gifts handy if Harvestfest is coming up.
In The Sims 4, gnomes have a bit of a pack mentality. You can use the “Stomp to Pieces” option to get rid of angry gnomes but make sure no other gnomes see you, or they’ll get mad too.
Happy Simming!
