Sims 4 Rock Climbing Death Guide [It’s Slippery]

Rock climbing in The Sims 4 can be thrilling and dangerous. For most walls, a fall just leads to bruises or minor injuries, but there’s one place where it can actually be fatal: the Croft Icefall.

To reach it, your Sim needs at least Level 6 in Rock Climbing and must go on a mountain climbing expedition.

Falls happen when a Sim isn’t skilled enough for the wall they’re attempting. Usually, they land on their feet and just get hurt. But a second fall can be deadly.

If you’re trying to see a Sim meet a tragic end on a climb, the odds increase if they climb in bad weather, skip using special gear or chalk, or attempt a climb while exhausted.

How to Cause Death by Rock Climbing

For a fall to actually be deadly, your Sim needs to be well into the climb. A quick slip right at the start is not enough. They just get injured, survive, and then flat-out refuse to keep climbing for a while.

Things get more interesting when your Sim is much higher up. But even then, a highly skilled climber has the odds on their side. If your Sim is around three quarters of the way to the top and already has a Rock Climbing skill at level 8 or 9, a fall usually ends with injuries instead of death.

Climbing with friends adds a bit of drama too. If the group fails to reach the summit, Sims tend to blame each other and walk away annoyed. They’ll refuse to continue the climb that day.

To complete the climb, psych up your Sim, get them in a Confident mood, and go back the next day.

⇒ One little fun fact: Servos are completely immune to fall damage. No matter how high they go or how badly they slip, they’re perfectly safe.

Happy Simming!
