Sometimes, pets in The Sims 4 can turn blue, leaving players scratching their heads. Luckily, there are a few ways to fix it so your furry friend looks normal again.
Take Them to the Vet
If your pet’s fur turns blue in The Sims 4, it usually means they are sick and need veterinary care.
When pets are sick, their fur often turns blue and their nose and toes glow red. Aside from these changes, they might still act normal and healthy.
The first thing to do is take them to the vet as soon as possible. You can buy Wellness Treats there and feed them to your pet to help them get better.
If you don’t take your pet to the vet, their mood and behavior will start to change. They may refuse to play and could even start vomiting around the house.
You can also give your pet a bath to help with the sickness. It won’t cure them completely, but it can make them feel better and help reduce symptoms while you’re getting veterinary treatment.
Have a Fairy Use Nurture Nature on Your Dog
In The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature, fairies can use the Nurture Nature ability to instantly cure sick pets. Using this ability will heal them and also fill all their needs at the same time.
If you’re a fairy, this is a quick and easy way to get your pets back to full health.
Use Cheats to Get Rid of the Illness
If you’re on PC, you can also use cheats to get rid of the illness instantly. First, press Shift + Ctrl + C to open the cheat console and type testingcheats true to enable cheats.
Then, Shift-click on your pet, go to Remove Moodlet, and scroll until you find the Icy Fur moodlet. Selecting it will remove the sickness right away.
Happy Simming!
