Withered Stomach is one of those vampire weaknesses that really changes how you play. Vampires with this weakness cannot handle regular human food at all. The moment they eat a meal, their stomach turns, and they end up nauseous with an Uncomfortable mood that sticks around for hours.
In many cases, that nausea leads straight to throwing up.
The weakness only applies to cooked human food, which is where things get a little tricky.
Drinks are fine, and harvestable items are fine too. Plasma Packs and Plasma Janes are completely safe, so those are still reliable options.
Plasma Fruit on its own is also okay. The problem starts when that fruit gets turned into a dish. Plasma Fruit salad counts as human food, so eating it will make a vampire with Withered Stomach sick almost immediately. Salads, in general, are a bad idea for them.
Human Sims can eat Plasma Fruit salad without any issues at all. Vampires without the Withered Stomach weakness can also eat it safely. The reaction only happens when that specific weakness is in play.
If Eco Lifestyle is installed, there is a small workaround. A fizzy drink made from Plasma Fruit does not upset their stomach, so that can be a safer way to use the fruit without consequences.
This weakness can be especially annoying in restaurants. Vampires will still order food, and if they eat it, the nausea kicks in right away.
Vampires with this weakness can still eat human food on their own. This happens more often if they have the Glutton trait. Food stalls are a common trap, since vampires might grab something without supervision and then immediately regret it.
If a vampire keeps throwing up, the cause is almost always human food or Plasma Fruit salad. The safest approach is to avoid those completely and stick to vampire-friendly options. If the weakness becomes more annoying than fun, use cheats to remove it and restore a more flexible vampire diet.
