Tomatoes are a versatile crop in The Sims 4 that every Sim gardener will want. Knowing where to find them and how to get them can make a big difference in cooking and gardening.
Stop Searching! Here’s Where to Find Tomatoes in Sims 4
Tomatoes can be grown from seed packets labeled as Uncommon Plants, or you can buy some from produce stalls and plant them in your garden.
Certain lots naturally have tomato plants you can harvest. For example, in Oasis Springs, there’s a picnic area at Sandtrap Flat with a planter box that usually has tomatoes.
Up near Slipshod Mesquite, some trailer-style houses have gardens with tomato plants as well.
Just a short walk north of the Agave Abode starter house, there’s a small cluster of planters, and one of them always has a tomato plant.
If you don’t see any tomatoes right away, spend some time on the lot and eventually they will appear.
Owning expansion packs opens up even more options. In Jungle Adventure, you can find tomatoes in Selvadorada.
City Living lets you buy tomatoes from the produce stand across from the Art Museum in San Myshuno.
Outdoor Retreat has a Hermit who sells tomatoes.
Tomatoes and Seasons
In The Sims 4, getting tomatoes depends a lot on the time of year if you have the Seasons expansion.
They only grow naturally during summer. When that time rolls around, you might notice some appearing at festivals.
For instance, during the Spice Festival in City Living, you can spot tomatoes in the garden planters near the curry challenge area.
You can also get them from little gnome deliveries during Harvestfest, since sometimes gnomes leave them lying around.
With Seasons, you can even build a plant shelter to grow tomatoes all year long, so you’re not limited by the current season.
Happy Simming!
