Looking to make your Sims rich fast? Choosing the right career can make a huge difference, and some jobs pay far more than others in The Sims 4.
Highest-Paying Jobs in The Sims 4

Pay Clusters
Ultra-high tier: §15,000–§19,600/week
- Actor/Actress, Officer, Stylist
- Actor/Actress is far above all others.
Earnings-wise, the Military Career is one of the best choices. While Actors and Actresses can make more money, earning up to 19,600 Simoleons per week, a military officer earns around Simoleons 16,880 working only 4 days per week and gets there with much less effort.
Actors have to put in a lot of work building and maintaining fame, whereas the Military path offers high pay with simpler daily tasks and faster promotions.
High tier: §12,500–§14,900/week
- Secret Agent, Interstellar Smuggler, Botanist, Romance Consultant, Civic Planner, Investor
- These are very competitive and reachable through skill development or shorter work weeks.
Mid-high tier: §10,000–§12,500/week
- Management, Space Ranger, Doctor, Undertaker, Detective
- Solid pay but slightly behind “elite” tier.
Lower high tier: §8,500–§10,000/week
- Gardening, creative, and some politician/athlete careers
- Still lucrative but less extreme than top-tier careers.
Some top careers earn less per hour but high weekly pay due to short weeks: Interstellar Smuggler: 4-day week → §14,868/week.
Gardening and nature-related careers are surprisingly profitable when fully leveled, despite seeming “low skill” at first glance.
⇒ Quick Tip:
- If your main goal is making Simoleons, using a Sketchpad is actually faster than any career. Your Sim can create artwork and sell it for unlimited money, there’s no schedule or promotion grind.
Branches with Multiple High-Paying Jobs
Some career branches dominate the top of the pay scale.
| Branch / Type | Careers in Top Pay | Observation |
|---|---|---|
| Secret Agent | Diamond Agent (§12,780), Villain (§12,875) | Both jobs are very close in weekly pay, showing the Secret Agent career is consistently lucrative. |
| Astronaut | Interstellar Smuggler (§14,868), Space Ranger (§11,816) | Astronaut jobs are high-paying, with Interstellar Smuggler being one of the highest in the entire game, partly due to its shorter workweek. |
| Style Influencer / Creative | Stylist (§15,000), Trend Setter (§13,530) | Style/creative careers pay very well, especially Stylist, which is the highest-paying non-scientific, non-military career. |
| Romance Consultant | The Matchmaker (§14,070), The Relationship Counselor (§13,825) | Both roles are lucrative and occupy top 10 pay slots, suggesting Romance Consultant careers are great for earnings if your Sim has excellent social/Charisma skills. |
| Business / Management | Investor (§12,992), Management (§12,000), Boss (§12,460) | High financial earnings are clustered here, business-related careers reliably generate top pay. |
| Civil Designer / Gardening | Civic Planner (§14,000), Botanist (§14,700), Green Technician (§8,532), Floral Designer (§10,500) | Gardening and civil careers can be high-paying, though Green Technician is an outlier lower down the list. Civil/eco-based jobs have strong top-end earnings. |
