How to Make Your Sim Dazed in The Sims 4

Dazed is one of the less common emotions in The Sims 4, so you may not see it very often during normal gameplay.

There are several ways to deliberately make your Sim Dazed, though. Some require specific packs, while others can be triggered in the base game.

Crash with a rocket ship.

Have your Sim use a rocket ship and experience a crash. A failed rocket launch can leave your Sim Dazed.

Use a Voodoo Doll on your Sim.

If you have a Voodoo Doll, you can use it to affect your Sim and trigger the Dazed emotion.

Eat Muckleberry.

Have your Sim eat a Muckleberry to make them Dazed. You can find Muckleberry in Granite Falls if you own Outdoor Retreat.

Get into several fights.

Have your Sim fight other Sims repeatedly. After several fights, they can receive the Beaten Up moodlet and become Dazed.

Use a Weaponized Joke.

Sims with a high Comedy skill can use the Weaponized Joke interaction on other Sims. This can make the target Sim Dazed.

Get the Enamoured sentiment.

The Enamoured sentiment can cause a Sim to become Dazed. This can happen when Sims develop particularly strong romantic feelings toward each other.

Take medicine when you’re not sick.

Have your Sim take medicine even though they aren’t ill. Doing so can give them the Dazed emotion.

Get hypnotized by a vampire.

If you have Vampires, a Sim can become Dazed after being hypnotized by a vampire.

Eat Mushroom Mash.

If you own Cottage Living, have your Sim eat Mushroom Mash. This can give them the Dazed buff for four hours.

Choke on bubbles.

Use the Bubble Blower and fail the interaction. Choking on the bubbles can leave your Sim Dazed.

Get the Dazed buff from the Juiced Community NAP.

If you own Eco Lifestyle and the Juiced Community NAP is active, townies can become Dazed.

Interestingly, active Sims aren’t affected by this particular effect.

Re: What happens when a Sim is Dazed?

Dazed Sims have trouble concentrating and may abandon activities from their queue. They can also take longer to complete certain tasks.

The Dazed emotion can also make some situations more dangerous.

Don’t repair electronics while Dazed.

Be especially careful if your Sim is Dazed and wants to repair an electronic object. The risk is even greater if they have low Handiness skill or you’re playing on a lot with the Cursed lot challenge.

A Dazed Sim can be more vulnerable to electrocution while repairing objects, which can result in death.

The easiest way to get rid of the Dazed buff is to let your Sim sleep or take a nap.

Once they get some rest, the Dazed moodlet should disappear, and your Sim can return to their normal routine.

If you notice NPC Sims walking around Dazed, the Juiced Community NAP is probably active in your neighborhood.

The NAP gives townies the Juiced Up buff, which makes them Dazed when they visit lots where the plan is active.

The Juiced Community NAP only affects townies.

The active Sim isn’t affected by this NAP. The Dazed moodlet is applied to NPC Sims instead, which is why you may suddenly notice lots of townies walking around looking completely out of it.

You need Eco Lifestyle to use Neighborhood Action Plans.

Neighborhood Action Plans, or NAPs, are part of Eco Lifestyle. They are sets of community rules that Sims can vote to put into effect in their neighborhood.

The Juiced Community NAP is designed to get the whole neighborhood “juiced up.” While it’s active, you can also earn Influence by using your Juice Fizzing and Mixology skills to make drinks for other Sims.

Townies don’t actually get drunk from the Juiced Community NAP.

Even though the NAP makes townies look Dazed, they aren’t actually getting drunk from drinking too much fizzy juice. They simply receive the Juiced Up buff.

If the Juiced Community NAP is getting on your nerves, you can revoke the active NAP using cheats.

First, open the Cheat Console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Command + Shift + C on Mac. Then enter:

testingcheats true

Next, hold Shift and click on the mailbox. Select the option to Immediately Revoke NAPs.

Once the NAP is revoked, the Dazed moodlet should disappear, and the affected townies should return to their normal behavior.
