Practicing action scenes is a key milestone for Sims chasing the Sitcom Star career.
Your Sim needs to reach Level 6 of the Acting skill to practice action scenes with another Sim. The other Sim’s Acting skill level doesn’t matter,only yours does.
If the option isn’t showing up when you try to interact with another Sim, that’s the sign your Sim hasn’t hit Level 6 yet. The option unlocks automatically the moment they do.
Practice in front of a mirror or microphone. This is the most basic method and works from the start.
Use a Trouper’s Looking Glass. This object speeds up skill gains compared to a regular mirror.
Read Acting skill books. These help, but they’re slower than hands-on practice.
Perform scenes with other Sims. Once available, this gives the best skill gains of all the options.
Best Mood for Acting
Sims perform best while Confident. This mood boosts the quality of their performance, so it’s worth getting your Sim into a Confident moodlet before practicing or performing.
Acting skill unlocks more advanced scenes as it climbs. For example, Level 10 is needed to perform dramatic scenes and monologues.
Higher Acting skill also means better pay. Sims with a high skill level earn significantly more per gig, and after completing all available scenes, a single gig can bring in thousands of Simoleons.
Additional Social Interactions
At Level 6 of the Acting skill, your Sim unlocks the Act Not Bored interaction. They can use it on themselves or during a boring conversation to liven things up and keep everyone entertained.
